SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
05/08/11 - It is with much regret that the organisers of the Tuesday Business Club have decided to bring the club to a close.
Since our first meeting in June 2005, this Wallingford networking group has had a lot of fun, created friendships and alliances and generated loads of business for its members.
However, the time & effort required to grow the group is greater than we can afford to invest. And without growth, the group will wither.
Please may I extend my thanks and appreciation to the members, visitors, speakers and venues who have supported the club over the last six years. It's been wonderful to work with you all, and I hope we can carry on our networking through other means.
Yours sincerely
Cat Young

What
a sad day –I know you will have thought long and hard about your decision.
I’ve always enjoyed TBC – the sessions I’ve run have always be fun and challenging; in a nice and interesting way!
I apologise to you, and everyone else, for not being around much in the last few months.... shall we just say ‘family matters’
Hope to catch up with many of you again real soon.

This
is sad…
I remember my first meeting and how welcoming it was…in addition to all the great advice/support and people I have met at the meetings.
I will miss the Club.
I’m sure you are sad too….but have fond memories.
Thx for letting me know.
Hi to everyone on the list.
Regards
Claire

I am sorry
to hear this, but not surprised. You have done an excellent job keeping it
going as long as you have done. It has always been a very friendly as well as
educational business meeting.
Not only did I meet at least two of my most important business partners and make friends, but it has always been one evening in every month that I really looked forward to. I will really miss it!
Perhaps those of us who are interested could meet for a drink on the same evening some times.

This
is very sad. I’m sorry to have been absent recently, for the domestic reasons
you know about, but I was looking forward to resuming at the next
meeting. I was also reviewing the web site and thinking how much more
strongly the club was presenting itself now. The turn-outs were not often
large, but in many ways that was the strength of the meetings which enabled a
more rounded and sometimes diverse discussion which could be very
supportive. I shall miss that a lot and wonder if others will too?
Thanks for all your efforts.
Hope we shall still meet from time to time.
Best wishes.

This must have been a really hard decision for you to make, and I’m sure you
have very mixed feelings; of great sadness and at the same time a sense of
release.
I’ve always enjoyed the meetings I’ve attended over the years and as you say,
made some great alliances. It’s been tricky for me to make the meetings because
I’m usually travelling from a clients on a Tuesday evening, and felt guilty for
not being there.
I’m sure you’ll find plenty of other things to do on the second Tuesday of the
month – maybe some time for you!

Thanks a lot for running it this long Cat.
And for all the other things you've done for me.
I had great fun and enjoyed business opportunities during the time I was able to get to it.
Good luck and I hope ALL your business activities make a profit from now on!
Best regards

A big shame – I enjoyed our meetings, more like family than "bloodthirsty
entrepreneurs"! A door closes, a window opens, and I am a great believer in
things being right for their time and then moving on.
I made some good friendships and contacts which will carry on.
Good luck with the next endeavour and hope to catch up with you soon!

What
a shame! Thank you for the great learning opportunities the Tuesday
Business Club offered me.
Timon Colegrove - Hunts - www.hunts.co.uk
I have
attended only a few meetings and always been most impressed by the feel and
content of the events. It is a shame that your organisation cannot continue but
the demands on business time are such that I find it impossible to attend, much
as I would like to. I would simply like to thank you on behalf of Hunts for
giving us the opportunity to learn and benefit from the meetings.

Sorry
to hear it has come to a close. I enjoyed the sessions I went to, but
evenings are not so good for me, and I have done less and less networking over
the recent period.

I have had some very happy memories of TBC. Your members have been uniformly
kind, warm and welcoming and the events you have put on have been fascinating.
I well remember the visit to the winery at Shillingford for instance. You have
provided a great example of a meeting host of warmth, sensitivity and dynamism
and I hope that this decision is because STW is flying so high that you haven't
the time to devote to TBC.
Thank you for being so generous with your time, energy and commitment, Cat.
Wishing you so much success, happiness and wellbeing for the future.

Sorry to hear that TBC is winding up. But, I suppose ‘every dog has it’s
day’. Well done on what you’ve achieved in getting the whole thing going,
establishing some great business and social relationships and helping everyone
learn along the way. As you say, there are a lot more networking groups
these days and only so much you have time to do.
All the best,
Trese
